Aspirations
I wonder if I'd have larger readership and commentership if I were to post less about my own life and more about news or politics or something otherwise interesting and incendiary? At the least, I'd probably be doing myself a service by forcing me to read something other than my friends' blogs and the occasional textbook passage or journal article.
My goal for this week (and it will be a tough one, seeing as I'm leaving for AZ Wednesday early morning): write at least one semi-intelligent post on some form of news or current events.

On posting about politics or something otherwise interesting:
I think that is bullshit. I can read about politics and other things going on in the world on a newssite. I don't want to come to a friend's site to read about the same old shit that everyone else is talking about. I want to know what you are doing and what you think about things.
I post about what I am feeling at the time - or what I think at the time - or what I'm doing.
There is little that I do not post about - when it comes to ME.
I wish more people did the same.

You certainly do a good job of keeping yours very personal. I commend you for that, and I'm always interested to check your updates (though if I miss a few days it's sometimes tough to catch up!)
I think my original intent with this blog was to have about a 40:35:25 split between [my random thoughts/mini-essays/rants]:[my personal life/affairs/feelings/goings-on]:[my opinions on current events etc.]. I'd estimate my current ratios are somewhere closer to 20:65:15, with some error for interplay between topics, for example when my feelings are affected by a news story or when an essay/rant is inspired by a personal happening.
And I don't think I'd post on just any political article, but I would on something that I felt strongly about or something that affected me. And on that note, I have an inkling that my post would portray a more extreme attitude one way or the other than I truly feel, just because I like sometimes to play devil's advocate or starting an argument.
Stu -
You are such a flippin' dork.
I *heart* you anyway, though.
I want more personal junk!
More baggage - more frenzy - MORE MORE MORE!
